A little delayed in writing this review blog but, I very much, wanted time to reflect on my 30 days of blogging on The 30 Day Blogging Challenge. I have to say that it was much more of an intensive and growing experience than I had ever expected.
Many years ago I was told by a very close family member that I was “far too nice” and that “nice gets you nowhere in life”. They followed this on with a little snigger and then laughed at the same time as calling me “Nicky, nice”. I remember at the time thinking what a rotten thing to say to someone, and I was really quite shocked that someone I cared about would level something like that at me as I had always considered being ‘nice’ as such a good quality to have. Upon joining my company, where I market an on-line greeting card service which sends a real physical card, I didn’t think much further than it being an additional revenue stream which I would fit in with my other commitments. I very much thought that my customers would be those who wanted to use the system personally to send Birthday, Christmas and other occasion cards to family, friends and others close to them. It was great that straight away I had quite a few friends who could see the benefit of using a system like this and got me off the ‘starting blocks’.
